The term fire check is used to specify doorsets ( door and frame ) to meet regulation requirements for controlling the spread of fire and smoke : " Fire-check doors are those which either comply with the construction specification given in BS 459 : Part 3 or have given an equivalent performance in fire tests, fire resisting doors have a higher standard of integrity .
